Ennidal (the struggle) mosque, 26 February 2015. The mourchidates have been working for years in Algeria, doing the same work as an imam except leading prayer. They officiate in women's mosques, prisons, youth centres and Islamic institutes, and organise debates in schools. Their work consists in promoting the true Islam, one that advocates tolerance, and correcting the misunderstandings that lead to all kinds of deviance, including radicalisation.
