Amsterdam, the city by bike

Published on 2 October 2026 · International

Netherlands, Amsterdam, 3 June 2022. In Amsterdam, the bicycle is not just a means of transport. It is a rhythm of life, a freedom that slips between the canals, the bridges and the streets of the city. From morning to evening, bicycles accompany residents on their daily journeys. They cross the rain, the wind and the seasons, silent and omnipresent. Here, the bicycle belongs to the landscape as much as to the city. It offers another way of getting around, of looking at and living Amsterdam, as close as possible to its streets and to those who travel them.
